Donald Trump Balks At McCain Apology

Donald Trump is a mogul and has more money than anyone could ever imagine.  However, he still manages to be in the spotlight.  You would think that anyone with so much money, successful businesses, and a successful television show franchise such as The Apprentice would know when to quit and keep to yourself.  However, Trump must have never got that memo.  He seems to be always in the middle of drama or at least creating it.

This week Donald Trump created a backlash because he said that John McCain was only a war hero because he was captured.  Trump made these comments at a presidential campaign promotion.

Trump stated,

“People that fought hard and weren’t captured and went through a lot, they get no credit,” he said. “Nobody even talks about them. They’re like forgotten, and I think that’s a shame, if you want to know the truth.”

“I’m very disappointed in John McCain because the vets are horribly treated in this country,” said Trump. “I’m fighting for the vets. I’ve done a lot for the vets.”

Donald Trump has been criticised by his fellow 2016 candidates.  Rick Perry feels that his comments make him unfit to be a presidential hopeful, and Hillary Clinton feels this his comments are “shameful.”

It is crystal clear this firestorm will not be cooling off anytime soon.  Perhaps Donald Trump did this for publicity to create more fan votes or to generate more momentum for him.
