Five Attorneys Elected to Director and Of Counsel at Coats Rose, P.C.

HOUSTON – Jan. 24, 2017 Coats Rose, P.C., a business transaction and litigation law firm headquartered in Houston, announces the election of five attorneys to director and of counsel. Brian R. Gaudet was elected from of counsel to director and Mason P. Hester from associate to director in the Houston office; Jamie T. Katzen from associate to director in the Dallas office; and Amanda W. Goldman from associate to of counsel and Brian D. Grubb from of counsel to director, both in the New Orleans office.

  • Gaudet, a director in the Houston office, focuses his practice on all aspects of the project and construction cycle from contract document preparation and review, to the avoidance and resolution of disputed claims. Gaudet received his law degree, cum laude, from South Texas College of Law and was among the first group of attorneys to receive his Board Certification in construction law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in December 2016.
  • Hester, a director in the Houston office, focuses his practice on all aspects of the construction cycle, from contract preparation and review, to the avoidance and resolution of disputes. He received his law degree, with honors, from University of Texas School of Law and was among the first group of attorneys to receive his Board Certification in construction law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in December 2016.
  • Katzen, a director in the Dallas office, focuses his practice in the areas of domestic and international estate planning (wealth transfer), tax planning, estate and trust administration, and wealth preservation planning. He received his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law and his Master of Laws degree in Taxation from Southern Methodist University School of Law.
  •  Goldman, of counsel in the New Orleans office, focuses her practice primarily in labor and employment, and she has defended employers in Title VII employment discrimination claims, and claims under the FLSA, FMLA, ADEA, OSHA, USERRA, ADAAA, WARN Act and other employment-related lawsuits, as well as contractual disputes arising out of noncompete and employment agreements. Goldman received her law degree from Loyola University School of Law.
  • Grubb, a director in the New Orleans office, focuses his practice on representing owners, general contractors and subcontractors on all aspects of construction law, particularly innovative construction delivery methodologies, public procurements, contract negotiations and compliance. He received his law degree from John Marshall Law School.
